Dale that is the first time I have heard Cavendish Vermont. I see the fire department opening and checking fire hydrants from time to time in the city. I can certainly understand why you should not drink the water or wash your clothes until all the lines run clear. Good blog information reminder for the community. How far is Cavendish from where you live?

Dale, we used to play in the water when they flushed the hydrants in my West Texas hometown but it was NOT the same color! Hope you had a great weekend my friend!

Howdy there Carl and Ceil, Russell

Its always a pleasure to have y'all stop by to visit, and to write a reply back to each of your comments. On this blog post, about Hydrant Flushing. Here at my little ole Blogging Homestead, my friends

Carl - They have to do this in order to clean and take some of the pressure off of the lines. Cavendish is out a hafe hour away. Its between North Springfield and Ludlow Vermont.

Russell - Mighty good to see ya, I never lived in a Town when I was a kid, in order to be able to do that. Its been a very rainny weekend, but it been a fine one anyways.

Dale,

I am always amazed by just how rusty those things are on the inside.
